Mais um vez estaremos realizando o DebianDay em Manaus.

Este ano estamos planejando realizar um hackfest para comemorar os 17
anos da distro Debian GNU/Linux. Neste hackfest iremos ajudar o
projeto Debian Brasil com traduções de vários tipos, como:
* tradução de descrição de pacotes;
* tradução de páginas web;
* localização de pacotes (tradução de pacotes);
* etc…

O evento é aberto a todos que quiserem contribuir com o Projeto Debian.

I saw this at Daniel Bruno’s blog.

A friend sent me a link to a webpage, the link was: http://goosh.org. Right after accessing the webpage i decided: “This is going to be my new start page”.

GooSH stands for Google Shell, it is an unofficial Google Product. Written by Stefan Grothkopp, it simulates a Unix Shell with access to some Google Products, simply fantastic!

I recommend it for everyone!

Some time ago i created a linuxmail.org e-mail account and today i got an e-mail from mail.com informing that my-email@linuxmail.org had moved to mail.com hosting and that it was upgraded and et cetera.

I checked out mail.com website and found out that they offer many personalized e-mail addresses for free, with 3GB of disk space. In the list you can chose yourname@email.com, yourname@programmer.net, yourname@mad.scientist.com, yourname@rockfan.com, yourname@brazilmail.com, yourname@hackermail.com, among many others.

Today, May 25th, is celebrated the Geek/Nerd Pride Day, so,

Congratulations

to all of us, geeks, and to those who are familiar to the cause!

To celebrate this day there goes a test: How nerdy are you? Hehe.

Today is also the Towel Day, which, as wikipedia says: is celebrated every May 25th as a tribute by fans of the late author Douglas Adams, writer of the book series Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

I haven’t read it yet, but now i’m going to!
